About Stell

Stellvester Ajero, better known by his stage name Stell, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. Known for his wide vocal range, he is the main vocalist, lead dancer, and main choreographer of the internationally-acclaimed Filipino boy group SB19.

Stell Ajero was born on June 16, 1995 in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, Philippines. He studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at STI College. Before joining SB19, he became a member of a dance cover group called SE-EON together with his fellow SB19 member Josh. They went on to win the K-Pop Cover Dance Contest in the K-Pop Asean Festival in 2014.

Stell’s musical inspirations are Filipino balladeer Jed Madela, the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts title, Morisette, Filipina vocalist, singer and producer, pop icon Bruno Mars, and South Korean boy band, VIXX.

Get in the Zone: SB19 (2018 to present)

In 2016, Stell auditioned for ShowBT Philippines, a Philippine-based Korean company in search of the next boy group who would be trained under the Korean Idol system. On 26 October 2018, Stell debuted with fellow SB19 members Pablo, Josh, Justin, and Ken with “Tilaluha.”

Stell became the main vocalist, lead dancer, and main choreographer of SB19, and is known to have primarily choreographed their hits such as “Go Up,” “What?,” and “Where You At.”

Stell is also the only soprano member of SB19 and is dubbed as the group’s “Heavenly Voice.”

A Triple Threat: Solo Works (2022 to present)

With his uncanny and wide range of vocals, Stell was chosen as one of the performers in the musical show called “A Night of Wonder with Disney+” in November 2022. During the launch of streaming platform Disney+ in the Philippines, he sang his rendition of “Circle of Life”—originally performed by Elton John from the original soundtrack for the 1994 film The Lion King.

He was also featured as the main protagonist battling inner demons in Filipino OPM group The Juan’s “Salamin” music video.

Stell also won Pop Main Vocalist of the Year in the 2022 PPOP Awards and Male Tiktok Face of the Year in the 2022 Village People’s Choice Awards.

Coach Stell: The Voice of a Generation (2023 to present)

After being eyed for the role of Coach for the first The Voice Generations Philippines, Stell finally accepted the offer to coach alongside established musicians—Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar, Billy Crawford, and Julie Ann San Jose. He went on to lead his team to victory, as VocalMyx of Team Stellbound was crowned the first ever winner of The Voice Generations Philippines.

Stell will return as a coach for The Voice Kids in 2024.

A Stellar Star is Born: Stell’s Solo Career (2024 to present)

In June 14, 2024, Stell released his debut single entitled ‘ROOM.’ a funk-filled pop track to celebrate one’s authenticity and dance to the rhythm of your own heartbeat. This pulsating dance anthem is more than just a sanctuary — it’s a manifesto of provocation to liberation.

He made history when ‘ROOM’ debuted in the iTunes Worldwide Chart at #38.

He is the first 1Z Entertainment artist to be signed under Warner Music.

His debut Room EP was released on August 2, 2024. The EP contained Room plus 4 other tracks (‘Anino,’ ‘Di Ko Masabi,’ ‘Classic,’ and ‘Room (Stripped Version)’). Room EP immediately charted in countries worldwide.

Apart from a nationwide tour this August, Stell will release the MV of his second single, ‘Di Ko Masabi” on August 17, 2024. The song was written by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab specifically for Stell.
